GERALD WAYNE "BUTCH'' AIRHART,  age 56, of Trussville, passed away January 2, 2004.

He was a field sales manager with Preformed Line Products. He was affiliated with First Baptist Church in Trussville. He also was a coach and fan of fast pitch softball and a member of the US Marine Rifle Team.

Services will be Tuesday, January 6, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. Rev. James Long officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Albert Airhart. He is survived by his wife, Sharon White Airhart; daughters, Andria Paige (Randy) Gross, and Krista Laine (Tommy) Mackay; mother, Irene Grace Airhart; sister, Suzanne Airhart Pressley; brother, Gary Thomas (Lynn) Airhart; grandson, Ryan William Gross, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Baptist Church, Trussville. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Trussville, directing.
