Morris A. "Red" Harwood
WHS Class of 1957


HARWOOD, MORRIS A "RED", age 65, of Allgood, Alabama, passed away after an extended illness on February 20, 2004 at a local hospital.

Mr. Harwood attended Woodlawn High School and Howard College. He retired from CSX Railroad after 42 years of service. He lived in Blount County most of his life.

Mr. Harwood was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall D. and Bivia Harwood; brother, Wallace Harwood; and sister, Vernell Harwood. Survivors include his daughter, Kelly (Denis) Waldrop of Springville, AL; sons, Michael (Vin) Harwood of Ashville, AL, and Morris Harwood, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Mitchell Harwood, Evan Harwood, and Sydne Waldrop; sister, Sarah (Mark) White of Oneonta, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Argo Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 936 U.S. Highway 11, Trussville, AL 35173.
